Benoît’s role:
- As Chief Investment Officer, to chair investment committees and drive investment culture across all strategies
- To establish and maintain relationship with key LP clients and contribute to the fundraising efforts
- To oversee the Group on a day-to-day basis
- Accountable to the Board for the overall performance of the Group
- Also serves as Portfolio Manager of the flagship European Corporate fund
Benoît is an experienced investor with a strong understanding of the markets in which the Group operates. During his time with the firm, he has been a strong contributor to the Group’s strategic development, including launching several new strategies globally and leading our flagship European Structured Capital fund. He contributes a thorough understanding of financial markets and the Group’s investment portfolio to Board proceedings.
Career history
After two years as an officer in the French navy, Benoît started his career in the Leveraged Finance division of BNP Paribas and later worked in GE Capital’s Telecom and Media Private Equity team in London and in Structured Finance for Swiss Re. He returned to Paris in 2002 to join ICG’s expanding French activities. He moved to ICG’s London office in 2007, joined the Board of ICG plc in 2012 and became ICG’s CEO and Chief Investment Officer in 2017.
