Ryan Shelswell steps down
ICG announces that Ryan Shelswell, Chief Operating Officer of ICG Asia-Pacific Corporate and Head of Australia and New Zealand, has decided to step down from his responsibilities after 12 years.
Ryan joined ICG in 2010 and we are grateful for his many contributions to all four of ICG’s Asia-Pacific Corporate Funds including establishing ICG’s sponsorless deal capability across ICG’s Asia-Pacific.
Ryan served on the investment committee of the last four Asia-Pacific regional and Japan domestic funds of ICG, and was closely involved in the strategy for the region, including the expansion into private debt in Australia and New Zealand with the Australian Senior Loan Fund.
Wooseok Jun, Head of Asia-Pacific Sub-ordinated Debt and Equity said:
I would like to thank Ryan for his outstanding contribution over the last 12 years. During his tenure, ICG Asia-Pacific has developed from a Hong Kong-based, fly-in fly-out investor to a truly local investor across the region, and from a sponsor acquisition mezzanine financier to a flexible capital investor supporting not only sponsors but also founders and management teams to grow their businesses and create jobs. Ryan has been crucial to developing those capabilities and mentoring the investment teams both in Australia and New Zealand, as well as across the Asia-Pacific region and we wish him well for the future.
