Jeffrey Rabel joins US investment team

Intermediate Capital Group, the specialist asset manager, announces it has hired Jeffrey Rabel as Managing Director to continue to strengthen its US private debt investment team.

Jeff joins ICG from Barclays where he was a Managing Director in the Financials Sponsors Group in New York since 2006. In this role, he was responsible for the firm’s relationships and origination efforts across a wide range of sponsors and industries. He has advised and led a broad range of transactions across leverage finance, M&A advisory and equity.

Prior to Barclays, he performed similar duties at Credit Suisse in the Global Industrial Group. Jeff’s other experience was with Ernst & Young LLP where he was a CPA, providing accounting, auditing and management consulting services to clients. Jeff has a BS in Accounting from Bucknell University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and also holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he graduated with Honors.

Jeff joins ICG’s existing US investment team, including Salvatore Gentile, Head of ICG’s US operations, as well as Brian Spenner and Seth Katzenstein, who together are leading ICG’s US investment platform which currently manages over $2 billion* of assets in private and syndicated credit strategies.
