ICG today announced a $750,000 grant to Yonkers Partners in Education (“YPIE”) to support the organization’s operations and growth across the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The three-year grant forms part of ICG’s wider flagship award winning Educational Opportunity and Social Mobility Program, through which ICG continues to invest in organizations helping young people access higher education and long-term career opportunities.
YPIE works to ensure that students from historically underserved communities are prepared for college success and are supported throughout their higher education journey. Through this partnership, YPIE aims to continue delivering strong student outcomes while expanding its reach across the region.
YPIE’s existing outcomes demonstrate the effectiveness of its model. Among students from the high school class of 2025, 88.7% enrolled in college, while 62% of students from the high school class of 2020 graduated from college within six years.
In addition to providing funding, ICG will be exploring ways to support YPIE through volunteering and skills sharing.
This partnership forms part of ICG’s broader commitment to social mobility and educational opportunity. In June 2025, ICG announced a further £4 million investment to continue its flagship program, supporting a network of charitable partners focused on improving outcomes for young people globally.

Antje Hensel-Roth, Chief People & External Affairs Officer at ICG, commented:
We are delighted to extend our Educational Opportunity and Social Mobility Program through our support for YPIE. YPIE provides critical support to underserved young people in the Tri-State area to realize their potential and succeed. It is a natural extension of our work to support access to education and employment, and we look forward to seeing YPIE continue to grow its invaluable work.
Sam Wallis, Chief Executive Officer at YPIE commented:
We are honored to partner with ICG and grateful for their investment in YPIE students. Throughout this process, the ICG team took the time to learn deeply about our work, our students, and our vision for the future. Their commitment to community impact aligns strongly with YPIE’s mission to create pathways to college and career success.
